CRACK ROUTING
Water is the most destructive elements to asphalt and concrete parking lots. Crack sealing is performed as a preventative maintenance procedure to prevent the infiltration of water to the subgrade, thereby leading to pot holes and alligator cracks.
Although hot rubberized crack sealing is designed to prevent the destruction from water, not all hot rubberized crack sealing procedures are created equal.
For property / facility managers who are looking to get better longevity out of their crack sealing investment, there is an option called “crack routing”.
Benefits Of Crack Routing:
Is Crack Routing The Correct Procedure For All Crack Sealing Applications?
No, crack routing is not intended for all crack sealing applications. Crack routing is not recommended for extremely wide cracks (Larger than 1″ X 1″) or for for cracks sealed prior with any hot / cold pour crack sealing product.
(Prepared crack after routing and heat lancing which is now ready for sealant)
(Crack sealant application with black beauty slag for traction and durability)
