Why We Are Different

Fixasphalt.com Of Delmarva Peninsula was a business model built and launched in 2016 after servicing properties on the Delmarva for the largest retailers in the USA to include: Wal Mart, Sams Club, Pep Boys, Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts, BJ's Wholesale Club, Dollar General, Lowes Home Improvement Stores, Public Storage, TD Bank, PNC Bank, and WaWa Food Markets.

Our Story

Our parent company www.fixasphalt.com has been serving the Delmarva Peninsula since 2008 when we were awarded contracts from both TD Bank and Lowes Home Improvement Stores to maintain their properties in DE, MD & VA on the Delmarva.  As we began to service the properties in 2008 our crews would constantly come back with leads and we would receive phone calls and web requests from local business owners who would watch our crews in action and be impressed with their professionalism, workmanship, and attention to detail.  

When people would call for an estimate and we would inform them we only work on the Delmarva for National Accounts, we constantly heard the same complaint: "We can't find any local contractors on the Delmarva to perform at the level your crews do!"

Already having an office in Wilmington Delaware, in 2015 we decided we would offer local service to the Delmarva Peninsula and opened a base of operations in Seaford DE directly in the middle of the Delmarva.

* NO DEPOSITS- We do not require deposits for 98% of the projects we complete.  In fact, a contractor requesting a deposit should be the first sign you are not dealing with a company that is properly capitalized. 

* PROPERLY EQUIPPED- We utilize over $1M in equipment and resources to complete your project.

* TRANSPARENCY- We are committed to educating our clients on the best practices and materials to complete their project too fr exceed the industry standards.

* PROPERLY INSURED- We maintain over $7M in Liability Insurance, $1M in Vehicle and $500K in Workmans Compensation.

The 3 Top Scam To Watch Out For On The Delmarva Peninsula

Deposit Scams

Requesting an upfront deposit as a condition to schedule your project is a "cash flow" scam for contractors who are not properly capitalized to use your funds to finance the last 3 projects they already spent the deposits from and now do not have the funds available to purchase the materials to finish the job and get paid in full.  DO NOT EVER GIVE A CONTRACTOR AN UPFRONT DEPOSIT.  If the contractor insists on obtaining money upfront, do not agree to make any payments until the work has started and pot date the check for the following day.  If they fail to return the next day you can simply stop payment on the check.

Left Over Materials Scam

Its the oldest trick in the book!  No competent paving contractor has anything more than 1-2 wheelbarrow loads of hot mix asphalt leftover when completing an asphalt paving project. 

Pavement sealer DOES NOT "go bad" nor does it need to be applied the same day it is mixed.  It can remain in a contractor's storage tank for 3 - 5 months.   

Improper Application Equipment

Contractors attempting to apply pavement sealers out of any type of "square" holding tank are unable to properly mix and apply pavement sealers to meet the manufacturer's specifications.  

In short- "The job will not last any longer than 3 months" when pavement sealer is designed to last 3-5 years.

Due to the fact this type of equipment is not able to properly mix pavement sealer, it cannot apply sealer mixed with silica sand and latex modifiers which are both required for a long-lasting application.
