GENERAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN  
 
This position is for an individual who will act in the capacity as a �General Handyman� for the company with specific areas of service as well.

Daily Responsibilities will include:
  • Respond to service calls for contracts we have with Regional / National Accounts that include pot hole repair, traffic sign installation / repair, concrete car stop repair, litter / debris removal, striping touch-up, spill touch-up, bollard repair, general parking lot maintenance etc. Most service calls are with-in a 100 mile radius of our corporate office, however, on some occasion you may travel outside that radius or require an overnight stay.
  • In addition, depending on work load, you will load / prepare work trucks for following day, insure equipment is in working order, assist mechanic with equipment service / repair / welding etc.
  • Fuel vehicles in afternoon / evening and refill all propane and diesel equipment
  • Perform safety checks on equipment vehicles.
  • Transport materials to job sites
  • Set up job site staging area to insure efficient production when work crew arrives
  • Provide site detailing / clean up after work crew completes project.
Requirements:
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Clean, Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to multi-task and be a tactical problem solver
  • Prepared, self motivated, self starter
  • Computer Literate
  • Effective Communicator
  • Good Interpersonal Skills
Equipment Provided:
  • Isuzu Box truck outfitted with all tools and inventory necessary to efficiently provide service to our clients for their service call needs.
Salary: $600.00 / Week

STRIPING CREW OPERATIONS MANAGER:  
 
We are seeking a quality and detail oriented striping operations manager to manage and lead our in house striping crew. A professional striping job can perfectly accent a fresh professional seal coating project. At the same time, a unprofessional striping job can make the best seal coating job look terrible. We are seeking a quality oriented, motivated, �Control Freak� that is such a perfectionist that a crooked painted line could keep him / her up at night to the point where they would drive to the job at 3 AM to black out the line and repaint it as straight as an arrow. Quality oriented, full time striping contractors who are available to meet our ever changing schedule are getting harder and harder to find. This is the reason we are looking to convert all of our striping work to an in-house crew.

Daily Responsibilities Would Include:
  • Overseeing a 1 � 2 person latex paint striping crew
  • Schedule work efficiently
  • Coordinate scheduling with seal coating operation manager to insure that all striping is completed on seal coating projects with-in 1 hour of completion
  • Coordinate, Schedule, Execute companies 200 � 400 Corporate Re-stripes with quality, often having to repair work completed by prior contractor
  • Develop new business for large real estate portfolios who will have large quantitys of annual re-stripes.
Requirements:

  • Good Mechanical Skills and able to perform repairs on equipment in the field.
Equipment Provided:
  • Isuzu Box truck outfitted with (3) three airless stripers, layout equipment, complete uniform stencil rack, paint and supply shelving, safety equipment etc.
Compensation:

This position is organized as a �Business Opportunity� and will be compensated with a salary plus commission for all work completed satisfactorily. There is a high potential for expansion for the proper individual who has a target of $350,000.00 + in sales. This position has the potential for employment all year with very little down time, versus seasonal employment. In addition, this position has the opportunity to add traffic sign installation which is a high margin add on service.

RESIDENTIAL SEAL COATING TEAM:  
 
We are seeking a residential seal coating team to grow our already successful driveway seal coating division which helped fuel the company�s growth to help propel it to where it is today. We currently have over 1,200 residential clients and a mailing list of over 25,000 prospective customers in the tri-county area. Driveway Guardian is the industry leader in the residential seal coating and is the LARGEST driveway seal coating company in the tri-county area. Our services are viewed as the most premier by some of the most effluent homeowners in the tri-county area. Our products, system, application technique and state-of-the-art equipment is second to none.

We are now expanding into two additional local markets and are looking for an individual to lead our team into our next phase of expansion and reach sales in excess of $500,000.00.

We are seeking the following:
  • Operations Manager: Duties will include, estimating, scheduling, trouble shooting, customer service, marketing and overseeing quality control / production of 1 � 2 seal coating crews. You will be overseeing 2 additional estimators.
  • Crew Leader: Duties will include, overseeing 1 � 2 technicians, mapping of jobs, quality control, material application, job site preparation, truck / equipment operation / preparation. In addition, you may also be supervising a smaller 2 person auxiliary seal coating crew that is utilized for smaller driveways.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS:  
 
Position Overview:

This individual reports directly to the President of the company. This position is for an individual who has unlimited multi-tasking skills and is a tactical problem solver who thrives on converting chaos into order.

The ideal candidate would fit the following criteria:

Daily Duties Include:
  • Plan weekly outlook on Sunday and have posted, emailed or distributed no later than 7:00 AM Monday Morning
  • Prepare weeks work orders and assign paperwork to proper crew
  • Assist Crew Supervisors with morning dispatch / afternoon load-out to insure accuracy of load sheets
  • Review work order with entire crew to insure completeness and understanding
  • Verify safety check list
  • Oversee job sites to assist crew supervisor with logistics, material deliveries, notice handout, barricade / safety set-up.
  • Oversee Quality Control to insure project is being executed per specification. Mentor employees on our high quality standards.
  • Check material yields for accuracy
  • Check production for alignment with our bonus program
  • Inspect completed project (With customer if available), assign grade for quality bonus.
  • Set-up / Break-down barricades
  • Prepare / Markout future jobs on schedule
  • Order materials as needed
  • Arrange material deliveries to both shop / jobsites as needed
  • Meet crews back at shop to assist with afternoon load-out
  • Be able to train / motivate employees for �Specific Task Assignments� to enable you to delegate responsibilities to other employees to allow you to focus on �Core Tasks�
Other Duties:
  • As assigned by company President.
  • Some overnight travel is required for aprox. 20 - 30 days a year.
SALES / ESTIMATING RESPONSIBILITIES: While crews are working, it will not be necessary to supervise them all day. With our accelerated bonus program, this enables the crews to work independently without constant supervision. During the morning / afternoon:

Cold Calling / Site Visits / Prospecting:
  1. Visit minimum of (20) twenty locations, preferably more depending on follow-up. (ie: Shopping Centers, Office Parks Etc) to prospect for work per week.
  2. Contact / Follow-up on leads that you have developed over the past two weeks
  3. Enter all information into ACT database
  4. Search out Nationwide Accounts that are either being serviced poorly or are in need of service, or service could be improved. Develop a strong initial representation by using company technology to promote companies abilities.
  5. Market Pavement Guardian Complete Site Analysis service as a comprehensive one-stop service which will free the customer form having to visit the sites personally.
  6. Promote Asphalt Recycling Service to clients to display our ability to offer asphalt repair work 12 months a year in any weather. Contact utility companies and large nationwide accounts letting them know that work no longer has to be completed between 6:00 AM � 3:00 PM during asphalt plant operating hours. Work now can be performed at night while their business is closed to customers.

COMMERCIAL SEAL COATING CREW LEADER:  
 
This position is for an individual that will oversee our commercial seal coating operation. Experience is always helpful if you were trained by a reputable contractor; however, we are willing to train the right applicant. This person is responsible for overseeing all commercial seal coating work and insuring that all work adheres to company standards. This position will require strong time management skills and multi tasking. This position is a 24 hour / 7 day a week job. Work load is stipulated by customer demand. This position requires a highly motivated, self starter and analytical / tactical problem solver. Some out of state travel and night work will be required.

Specific Duties:
  • Oversee all commercial seal coating work
  • Manage 2 � 6 apprentices
  • Project Management
  • Project logistics
  • Work with scheduler to meet customer demand
  • Train / Coach / Help new technicians become Supervisors
  • Insure that safety program is followed
  • Maintain equipment
  • Help fabricate / design specialized equipment
  • Solve any customer complaints
  • Oversee all paperwork
  • Strong accountability reqired

ASPHALT REPAIR OPERATIONS MANAGER:  
 
(Experience Required)

This position requires a minimum of 2 years ASPHALT* experience with a REPUTABLE asphalt paving contractor.

Due to high demand, we are seeking to organize a full time asphalt repair crew. This crew will be responsible for hot mix asphalt repairs and hot pour crack sealing on all commercial projects. Infrared and paving experience a plus.

* Experience Required:
  • You must know the principles of asphalt compaction and segregation
  • How to operate a roller (Vibratory / Hydro)
  • How to lute and grade
  • Understand the principles of asphalt deterioration and choose which application to make the necessary repairs.
